Massage feels great, but it's also great for you! You may already know that massage is an excellent stress-reducer; increases the release of endorphins (those things in our body that induce happiness); and speeds up blood flow and decreases pain in the muscles. We have all probably read about the benefits of massage, so, why haven't you had a massage yet?Read more…
We think that it's because many of you haven't fully grasped the benefits of slowing down — yes, slowing down. And, we don't mean turning on the TV for a few minutes "slowing down." The most common reason people don't get a massage is because they "don't have time." Our response to this is if you make time for a massage, you will actually have MORE time.
We are all very busy balancing careers, family, exercise, school, etc. We get going on all cylinders starting early in the morning, and by the time we are done at the end of the day, we fall, exhausted, into bed only to get up and do it all again the next day. The stress from being over-committed is what we hear a lot of people talking about. Stress causes us to feel as if we never have enough time and that the quality of our time is less.
What if we went through life with more breath, more consciousness? Maybe we'd experience more joy. Maybe we'd feel like we had more choices. Maybe we'd feel like life had more meaning. At Blue, we believe that slowing down and relaxing with a massage delivers relaxation, greater focus, and, ironically, MORE ENERGY. It's hard to take the first step to slowing down, but at Blue, we'd like to share the benefits with you. Come in and give massage a try. And, if the benefits of slowing down are not enough to tempt you to take an hour for a massage, remember that massage improves your health and helps you live longer.
